How does food label scanning work?
Point your camera at a nutrition facts label and NutriTrace uses on-device text recognition to read the calories, macros, and serving size automatically. The photo never leaves your device — it is processed locally and discarded once the label is read.
Can I log food without scanning a label?
Yes. You can search our food database or add a custom food entry manually from the Log screen at any time.
Does NutriTrace sync with Apple Health or Google Health Connect?
Yes, if you grant permission. NutriTrace can read and write steps, workouts, and body weight to Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android). You can revoke this access at any time from your device's health app or from NutriTrace Settings.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. Your food log, workouts, and goals are stored on your device and are fully usable without an internet connection. Data syncs to your account automatically once you're back online.
How do I delete my account or my data?
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account in the app, or email support and we will permanently delete your account and associated data.
